On behalf of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, University of Defence, Faculty of Military Health Scinces, and Czech Immunological Society we are pleased to inform you that the 14th Host Pathogen Interaction Forum 2022 will be organized in Mědínek Hotel Old Town, Kutná Hora, Czech Republic, on November 07-10, 2022.

 

During those days, lots of oral presentations will be introduced and will cover many hot topics:

· Demonstration of subcellular (organelles), cellular and systemic response of the hosts in the course of host-pathogen interaction

 

· Issues of biofilm formation, production of bacterial outer membrane vesicles and their role in virulence and pathogenesis

 

· Pathogenesis, virulence factors and gene regulation

 

· Recent knowledge obtained from -omics technologies

 

· Microbiota: Recent Advances and Perspectives

 

· Challenges of microbiota-host cross-talk understanding and microbiome signaling

 

· Microbe-induced carcinogenesis

· SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis and immune response

​

· COVID-19: clinical impact, immune response, prevention and treatment

 

 

 

The scientific area of the conference covers the general topics associated with host-pathogen interactions. The specific fields will be the interaction of bacterial and/or viral pathogens with cellular organelles and advances in microbiome research. Some new specialized sub-disciplines that fall within these fields may appear during the conference. Number of recent key scientific findings will be featured at this conference.

 

The conference will provide only oral presentations mainly oriented to young students and postdocs with the support of senior scientists. Young presenters will obtain feedback from all participants, who can help them to lose fear and dare to speak to a wider audience. The forum provides the opportunity for a wide discussion of students with renowned scientists during scientific sessions as well as during social conference program. Such appreciation is a sign of prestige and success of these Host-pathogen interaction forums.

Conference Fee:

​

The conference fee 3 000,- CZK  (130 EUR) covers the organizational expenses and expenses related to the social program and conference proceedings.

The fee does not include the accommodation. The fee has to be paid preferably in cash at the Conference desk.
